Main objectives :
SEED (Socioeconomy, Environment, Development) is a part of Fondation
Universitaire Luxembourgeoise (120 employees). The unit is compposed
of 15 researchers, with multidisciplinary backgrounds (sociologist,
economist, engineer) and is specialised in environmental issues
(quality building and related knowledge in production, innovation,
expertise, sustainable development). Founded on the idea that environmental
questions and sustainability needs also others research strategy,
our work favorise a multidisciplinary approach and cooperation with
the stakeholders to contribute to the elaboration of cognitive,
normative and organisational instruments.
These last years, FUL with public found, was involved in research
related to study of interaction between rural/agriculture/food issues.
The projects cover three interconnected areas :
the socio-technic building of quality for specific quality products
PDO/PGI and integrated production,
the related knowledge in production,
risk in the food sector.
